Every Dallkaf piece starts as a real seashell gathered on the Egyptian coast. We clean and cure it, then paint it by hand in our Alexandria studio. Because we never repeat a design on an identical shell, every piece is genuinely one of a kind.
Yes — commissions are some of our favorite work. Tell us what you have in mind through the contact page or on Instagram: a color palette, a name, a memory of a place. Dalal will let you know what's possible and how long it will take. Custom pieces are made at the studio's small-batch pace, so allow extra time.
Every product page lists the piece's dimensions, and the photos are of the exact shell you'll receive — not a sample or a lookalike. Shells are natural objects, so if you need a precise measurement for a shelf or frame, just ask before ordering.
We're cash on delivery, all over Egypt. You pay the courier when your order arrives — no cards, no prepayment, no risk.
Shipping is a flat EGP 70 anywhere in Egypt, and free on orders over EGP 2,000. Orders leave the Alexandria studio within 1–2 business days; delivery usually takes 2–4 days to Cairo and Alexandria and 3–6 days elsewhere. Prefer to skip the wait? Choose local pickup at checkout and collect your piece from the studio for free.
Carefully. Each piece is wrapped by hand, cushioned, and double-boxed before it leaves the studio. If a piece ever arrives damaged, send us a photo within 48 hours and we'll make it right with a replacement or a refund.
Gently, and not often. Dust with a soft dry cloth, keep it out of direct sunlight so the colors keep their depth, and keep it away from water — the varnish protects the paint, but shells prefer to stay dry now that they've retired from the sea.
Because every piece is unique and made at a made-to-order pace, we don't accept change-of-mind returns — but damage in transit is always on us. Check your piece when it arrives and reach out within 48 hours if anything's wrong.
